Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 11- Ver. 44:

As a result, I implore you to be delighted, O Ishvara, deserving of adoration, by prostrating my body and kneeling down. You, O Lord, should tolerate (me) as a father tolerates his son, a friend his buddy, and a lover his beloved.

Explanation

Arjuna is pleading for forgiveness, seeing his actions as sins against God. He did not demonstrate the reverence that is due to the Supreme Almighty while engaging with Shree Krishna—playing, eating, joking, chatting, and relaxing. When mistakes are committed due to a great level of intimacy shared with the other person, however, neither one minds.

Arjuna’s close contacts with Shree Krishna were not violations; they were expressions of his deep love for Shree Krishna in the spirit of friendship. A devotee, on the other hand, is by nature modest, and as a result, he believes he may have made mistakes and is seeking forgiveness.

Verse & what we can learn

We are all trapped in the delusion of the material world, just like Arjuna. We cannot escape the draw of the senses without the assistance of the Ishvara principle. This Ishvara principle is our instructor, our guru, for the majority of us.

As a result, we are told in this shloka to entirely surrender ourselves in prostration to the Ishvara principle. Arjuna referred to Shri Krishna as his friend as he performed entire submission of his body by prostration, Arjuna pleaded for pardon from his father, a friend, and his beloved — three different types of forgiveness because he needed all three from Shri Krishna.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.
