Bhagavad Gita

Shrimad Bhagavad Gita: Sankhya Yogam: Chapter 2: Verse 9

BG 2. 9

Arjuna had given his decision-making to Shri Krishna and sought for his direction in the last verse. Arjuna knew he wasn’t in enough form to make that decision, let alone fight. As a result, he eventually stated that he would not fight and went silent.

It’s worth noting that Arjuna’s voice was not the only one that went mute. Though not completely silent, his mind became calmer than it had been in the previous stanza. Otherwise, it would not have been able to absorb what was about to be taught.
