Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 13:
However, the noble souls who seek refuge in My divine energy, O Parth, recognise Me, Lord Krishna, as the creator of all things. They devote themselves to Me with their entire focus on Me.
Explanation
Shri Krishna now discusses the magnificent souls after discussing the methods of the misled and confused. Material life is a protracted dream that souls who are sleeping under the influence of material energy are experiencing.
The great souls, on the other hand, are those who have awoken from their slumber and swept off earthly consciousness like a nightmare. They have been freed from the grasp of the material energy, Maya, and are now protected by the holy Yoga Maya force. These spiritually awakened people have realized the spiritual reality of their everlasting relationship with God.
God’s Yogamaya energy has both formless and personal parts, just as God’s personality has both formless and personal components. All divine personalities are manifestations of God’s divine energy, and they are similar to one another.
Shree Krishna says in this verse that great souls seek refuge in God’s divine energy. Because divine grace, knowledge, love, and other divine energies are all submissive to the divine Yogamaya energy, they are all God’s divine energies. As a result of Yogmaya’s grace, one obtains God’s love, knowledge, and grace. Great souls who acquire divine grace are endowed with heavenly love and devote themselves to God without stopping.
Verse & what we can learn
Individuals who have understood the true, divine nature of Ishvara These noble individuals treat Ishvara as their one and only one refuge, and worship him with unwavering devotion.
Noble people have grasped one simple truth: Prakriti is in charge of anything that can change over time. Prakriti, the realm of names and forms, is ever-changing and can never be counted on to provide constant support… The great individuals recognise that Ishvara is the sole truly universal and unchanging sanctuary.
They are completely devoted to Ishvara since they are aware of this. Even if they are enticed by Prakriti’s name and form, they are aware that every source of joy it provides inevitably turns to pain. Furthermore, their commitment to Ishvara is not motivated by any other goal. It is only for the sake of achieving Ishvara.
To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.
There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.
In the next verse Shri Krishna tells Arjuna How do noble souls keep their concentration on Ishvara while living in the Prakriti world?
