Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 11- Ver. 52:

Shree Bhagavaan said: Seeing that form of mine that you just saw is quite rare for anyone. Even the gods yearn to behold its form.

Explanation

Shree Krishna does not want Arjuna to lose his love for the personal form of God after showing him the cosmic form and praising it as being unavailable to anybody but him. As a result, Shree Krishna claims that Arjuna’s vision of God is extremely unusual.

Even the celestial gods, he says, wish to see God in his two-armed personal form as he stands before Arjuna. No amount of Vedic studies, austerities, or fire sacrifices can achieve this. God cannot be recognized by the strength of one’s efforts, according to the basic spiritual premise. Those who devote themselves to him, on the other hand, become recipients of his grace. They can then quickly know him as a result of his grace.

Verse & what we can learn

According to Shri Krishna, the gods have yearned to behold Ishvara in his cosmic form for all eternity but have been unable to do so. It’s “sudurdarsham,” which means it’s incredibly difficult and rare to behold. They may have seen Lord Narayana in his four-armed form, but they did not perceive Arjuna’s vast cosmic vision. They are unlikely to see it in their lifetime.

Gods may be more powerful than humans, yet they, like all other aspects of existence, are susceptible to the three gunaas. That is to say, they are motivated by selfish interests as well. Even Indra, the gods’ monarch, begins preparing to depose anyone who seeks his throne. So, according to Shri Krishna, humans, gods, devils, and anyone else who is a part of this creation would never be able to perceive this cosmic form unless they possess a certain quality.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next shloka Shri Krishna that it is impossible to see in the form in which Arjuna has seen.
