Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 11- Ver. 53:

I cannot be seen in the same way that you have seen me through the Vedas, penance, charity, or devotion.

Explanation

Shree Krishna does not want Arjuna to lose his love for the personal form of God after showing him the cosmic form and praising it as being unavailable to anybody but him. As a result, Shree Krishna claims that Arjuna’s vision of God is extremely unusual. Even the celestial gods, he says, wish to see God in his two-armed personal form as he stands before Arjuna.

No amount of Vedic studies, austerities, or fire sacrifices can achieve this. God cannot be recognized by the strength of one’s efforts, according to the basic spiritual premise. Those who devote themselves to him, on the other hand, become recipients of his grace. They are then easily able to know because of his grace.

Verse & what we can learn

The Vedas, or material and spiritual teachings, provide us with the knowledge we need to live a purposeful and ethical life. They get us from selfish desires to desirelessness by stimulating action in the early phases of life and emphasizing sacrifice in the later ones. Our ego is further reduced by austerity and generosity, while penance strengthens us both inside and externally. Ishvara’s grace and blessings are invoked through worship.

Shri Krishna warns us that none of these approaches will lead to the realization of Ishwara. . Each of the methods listed above has its own set of results that are applicable at different phases of life, but they can only purify us, not offer us Ishwara directly. As we observed previously, Ishvara’s attainment is entirely in Ishvara’s hands.

Whom he bestows his grace on is entirely up to him. However, Shri Krishna himself has stated that the way he has set up the universe’s machinery is free of bias. As a result, we can conclude that Ishwara will not bestow his blessing on someone at random. Something has to make sense. Next, Shri Krishna delivers the answer.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

Divine cannot be recognized either through spiritual discussions or through the mind, or by listening to numerous types of teachings.” How can God be viewed in this way if none of these techniques can assist in realizing him in his personal form? This is revealed in the next shloka.
