Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 13- Ver. 35:

The supreme goal is attained by those who perceive the difference between the body and the knower of the body, as well as the process of liberation from material nature, with the eyes of knowledge.

Explanation

Knowing the difference between the field of activity and the knower of the field. Those who have such discriminative knowledge do not consider themselves to be the physical body. They recognize themselves as souls and particles of God’s creation. As a result, they seek spiritual elevation and liberation from material nature. Such wise people then achieve their ultimate aim of God-realization by following the path of spiritual enlightenment.

Verse & what we can learn

A devoted individual should first form a positive association with God in order to eventually become enlightened. Accepting a spiritual master allows one to learn to discern between matter and spirit, which serves as a stepping stone to higher spiritual understanding. A spiritual teacher gives his disciples numerous directions to help them break free from the material understanding of life.
This body can be understood as matter, and its twenty-four elements can be examined. This is the most obvious manifestation. The mind and psychological consequences are the subtle manifestations. And life’s symptoms are the result of the combination of these characteristics. But there’s more: there’s the soul, and then there’s the Super soul.

The soul and the Super soul are two separate entities. The soul and the twenty-four material elements work together to create this material universe. Anyone who can see the Supreme Soul’s condition as well as the constitution of the entire material manifestation as a combination of the soul and material elements qualifies for spiritual transfer.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next chapter next shloka Shri Krishna talks about knowledge and wisdom.
