Shrimad Bhagavad Gita: Arjuna Vishada Yogam: Chapter 1: Verse 26

Explanation

When Arjuna asked Shri Krishna to place the chariot between the two armies his state of mind was he wanted to see his enemies. But when he was in front of them we can see his perspective changing towards Kauravas from enemies to his own Gurus, relatives and well-wishers.

Verse & What we can learn

A person’s way of thinking and perceiving a situation can change in a matter of seconds (in exactly the opposite way or extreme).

Learning to regulate thoughts is the very foundation of a peaceful life & meditation is the best way to accomplish this.

In the next verse, we will see how the attitude of Arjuna changes totally.
