Odisha Assembly Monsoon Session to Start September 22

Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: The Odisha Legislative Assembly is set to begin its Monsoon Session on September 22, with the proceedings scheduled to continue until October 3.
According to the provisional calendar prepared by the Assembly Secretariat, the session will have nine working days, besides one holiday and two days without sittings.
The schedule for the proposed Seventh Session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly has been sent to the State Government for consideration. Assembly Secretary Satyabrata Rout, in a communication issued on August 24, requested the Parliamentary Affairs Department to take the necessary steps if the proposed date is approved.
Following the government’s approval, the process will move forward for the Governor to formally summon the Assembly.
The session is expected to see discussions on key state issues, government business and matters of public interest, with the detailed agenda likely to be announced closer to the opening date.
