Sanskriti University, Mathura, marked International Yoga Day with an unprecedented and inspiring celebration that highlighted the institution’s deep commitment to holistic education, wellness, and cultural values. The event witnessed massive participation from students, faculty members, staff, and specially-abled children, all coming together to perform yoga under the expert guidance of professional yoga gurus.
In the days leading up to the event, students and faculty had been actively preparing for the occasion, reflecting the university’s dedication to making Yoga Day a meaningful and impactful experience. The initiative received widespread appreciation from several distinguished personalities across the country.
According to university officials, students from Sanskriti Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital and the Sanskriti Nursing School extended the message of yoga beyond the campus by reaching out to urban and rural communities. They conducted awareness campaigns and organized rallies carrying placards with motivational slogans encouraging people to adopt yoga as part of their daily routine. This outreach effort was widely appreciated for bringing yoga to the grassroots level.
Anantashree Vibhushit Sadguru Shri Ramanandacharya Swami Satishacharya Ji Maharaj praised the initiative, calling it a sacred step toward nation-building through the spiritual discipline of yoga. He emphasized the inclusive nature of the event, especially the participation of differently-abled children, reaffirming that “Yoga is for everyone.”
Acharya Balkrishna Maharaj, Co-founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth, lauded Sanskriti University for its noble endeavor. He remarked that the university is not only promoting wellness but is also working towards shaping a future generation that is healthy, aware, and rooted in Indian values.
Member of Parliament from Mathura, Dr. Hema Malini, also appreciated the university’s efforts and urged students, teachers, and citizens to incorporate yoga into their daily lives rather than viewing it as a one-day event. She emphasized that regular yoga practice is the foundation of a disease-free and balanced life.
Spiritual leader Shri Aniruddhacharya Maharaj commended the university’s leadership in promoting yoga and encouraged everyone to adopt the practice. Renowned Ayurveda expert Acharya Manish praised Dr. Sachin Gupta, Chancellor of Sanskriti University, for conceptualizing such an inclusive and socially beneficial initiative, especially one that welcomed participation from the differently-abled, reinforcing the idea that “Yoga is for all.”
