Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 3- Ver. 7:

But, O Arjuna, the one who controls his senses with his mind and performs karma-yoga with his action organs without attachment is superior.

Explanation

A karma yogi is someone who carries out worldly responsibilities while keeping their attention focused on God. Even when performing various tasks, such a karma yogi is not bound by karma. It is the attachment to the fruits of one’s acts that links one to the rule of karma. A karma yogi is unattached to the results of his or her actions.

Desire can be eliminated in two ways:

1. By gaining a better level of understanding. 2. Fulfilling your deepest wants while keeping your head on the higher plane. You would have more cravings if your mind and body are indulged. if the mind indulges while the body withdraws, you are a hypocrite. According to this scripture, if the mind withdraws regardless of whether the body participates or not, you will excel.
