Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 3- Ver. 6:
A hypocrite is someone who sits with his organs of action restricted but continues to ponder about objects.
Explanation
The spiritual path is designed to help people reduce and eventually eliminate their cravings. Desire stands in the way of Perfection. In the world, there are two categories of people: 1. Those who follow their inclinations and engage in sensuous pleasures, 2. Some people suppress their passions from expressing or manifesting in the name of spiritual development.
They simply obstruct the path from want to action while ignoring desire. People like this are dissatisfied and hypocritical. They have internal desires, but they don’t act on them. Desires grow as a result of this method. What matters is not what you do, but what you think.
We need to figure out how to get rid of vasanaas when executing actions. Karma yoga is the name of the technique. It is preferable to face the world’s challenges as a karma yogi rather than as a fake ascetic. People frequently give up their jobs, only to learn afterwards that their renunciation was not followed by a mental and intellectual disengagement from sensual spheres. As a result, there is a situation of hypocrisy.
