Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 4- Ver. 13:
Based on the distinction between guna and action, I’ve designed four classes. Know me as the non-doer and imperishable, despite the fact that I made them.
Explanation
The Vedas divide people into four occupational categories based on their natures, rather than their birth dates. This variant is explained in a more scientific way in Vedic philosophy. According to it, material energy is made up of three guas : sattva gua (mode of goodness), rajo gua (mode of passion), and tamo gua (mode of ignorance) (mode of ignorance).
The Brahmins are characterized by a strong preference for the manner of kindness. They have a natural affinity for teaching and worship. The Kshatriyas are individuals who have a higher proportion of the passion mode and a lower proportion of the goodness mode. They have a proclivity towards management and administration.
The Vaishyas are persons who have a passion mode coupled with a mode of ignorance. As a result, they are classified as members of the business and agricultural classes. The Shudras, on the other hand, are controlled by the mode of ignorance. They are the people who make up the working class.
People have their own distinct set of gunas and act in accordance with them. The divine is the non-doer and unbreakable, even though he is their maker.” All activities, both exterior and internal structures of guna and karma, are supported by Pure Consciousness. However, Atman is not accountable for the quality of action performed, nor does it desire to do so.
