Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 18- Ver. 68:

Those of My devotees who share this most secret information do the greatest act of love. I have no doubt that they will come to Me.

Explanation

The Bhagavad Gita’s teaching should be properly preached, Shree Krishna now proclaims. Such preachers, according to him, first attune to his para bhakti before attuning to him.

The chance to practice devotion is a special blessing from God, but the chance to assist others in practicing devotion is an even greater blessing and draws the extra grace of God. We gain from sharing excellent things with others every time. By grace, our own understanding grows when we impart whatever knowledge we have to others.

Just like a river does not get narrow despite water users, wealth does not decline through generous giving. You may verify for yourself by looking around that I am not just saying this. Therefore, those who share the spiritual knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita with others also receive the highest blessing for themselves.

Verse & what we can learn

Shri Krishna explained the custom and procedure for transmitting the Gita discourse from the instructor to the pupil. He now goes on to explain the educator who disseminates this knowledge to society. According to him, the primary trait of a teacher is commitment to Ishvara, and only such a teacher can teach students who are similarly devoted to Ishvara the true meaning of the Gita. The teaching should be given in the spirit of karma yoga, in service to Ishvara, rather than for the teacher’s name, celebrity, or honor.

Shri Krishna makes it clear that the teacher will travel to Ishvara and be freed from all suffering in return for their selfless act of teaching the Gita. He praises the teacher and declares that no one else on earth carries out activities more precious than teaching the Gita.
He continues by saying that the student turns into Ishvara’s dearest disciple. It has a unique status that extends into the past, present, and future. In other words, such is its brilliance, its unique position transcends all time.

Why is Ishvara so fond of the teacher? The teacher helps Ishvara in his effort to eradicate ignorance from the world. A teacher can determine the seeker’s needs and provide him with the Gita’s teachings that are appropriate for his unique circumstance. Instead of someone reading shlokas from the Gita at random, only a certified instructor is capable of doing so. Furthermore, very few teachers are able to accurately explain to their students Ishvara’s intended meaning without omitting any important details.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next shloka Shri Krishna tells about loving service to divine.
