Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 10- Ver. 1:

Again, O strong armed warrior, pay attention to my supreme declarations, which I shall make to you with joy and a desire for your well-being.

Explanation

Arjun’s strong interest in hearing Shree Krishna’s glories pleases Shree Krishna. Shree Krishna now states that he will explain his exquisite glories and unmatched traits to further boost his joy and ignite his excitement for loving devotion. He says “I am disclosing this highly important knowledge to you because you are my dear confidant.”

Divine is now teaching Arjuna more intimate details about His opulences and work. The Lord has already defined His various energies and how they function, beginning with the Seventh Chapter. Now, in this chapter, He explains to Arjuna His unique opulences. He has thoroughly defined His much energy in the preceding chapter in order to develop devotion with firm confidence. He instructs Arjuna about His appearances and His opulences once more in this chapter.

The more one hears about the Supreme God, the more one’s devotional service gets established. When one is in the company of devotees, one should always hear about the Lord; this will improve one’s devotional service.

Verse & what we can learn

Ishvara is both immensely powerful and unseen to our senses. Only by becoming conscious of his presence and gradually expanding our vision to recognize the one Ishvara in everything can we transcend this world of name and form and get access to Ishvara.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

Shri Krishna tells Arjuna in the next shloka. Why is Ishvara impenetrable to our senses and unknown to all other beings in the universe?
