Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 4- Ver. 14:

I am not polluted by activities, and I have no desire for the results of activity. The karmic responses of labour have no effect on someone who knows me in this way.

Explanation

The divine is not polluted by activities, and nor he is interested in the outcomes of activities. karmic results have no bearing on someone who knows me in this way. Why is Ishvara immune to all forms of action? Any action takes place only when there is an imbalance or a vacuum. Because of our vasanas, the mind generates an idea. Ishvara, on the other hand, is all-encompassing and self-sufficient. As a result, he is not required to act. He’s only a witness.

Similarly, someone who knows Atman is an unaffected observer of all that occurs in the world. He is not enslaved by his activities. There is no effect on Ishvara because prakriti performs the activities. Even when in contact with impure situations and beings, pure persons are never tarnished by faults; similarly, God is not polluted by the tasks he undertakes.

When activities are done with the intention of enjoying the outcomes, they bind one to karmic reactions. God’s activities, on the other hand, are not motivated by selfishness; rather, they are motivated by compassion for the souls. As a result, despite the fact that he administers the world directly or indirectly and engages in a wide range of activities, he is never contaminated by any emotions. In this verse, Lord Krishna declares that he is transcendental to work’s fruitive effects.
