Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 8:

I continuously project this entire world of beings, which is helpless under Prakriti’s power, by commanding my Prakriti.

Explanation

Prakriti projects a full universe of names and forms at the start of each cycle, and then withdraws them at the end, only to repeat the process. We’ve seen this before in the shlokas. The link between Prakriti, Ishvara, and the person is examined here.

In terms of living entities, they are impregnated into this material nature and occupy diverse places as a result of their previous actions. As a result, the material world’s operations begin. The activities of the many species of living organisms begin as soon as they are created. It isn’t true that everything has evolved.

The universe, like the various varieties of life, is formed instantly. Everything is created at the same time, including men, animals, creatures, and birds, since whatever wants the living entities had at the last annihilation are realized again. It is stated unequivocally that biological entities have no part in this process.

Their previous state of being in a previous creation is simply manifested again, and all of this is done solely by His will. This is the Supreme Personality of God’s incomprehensible power. And, despite the fact that He created various types of life, He has no relationship with them. The Lord is not involved in the creation because it is done to meet the desires of the numerous living creatures.

Verse & what we can learn

Ishvara and Prakriti have a connection. Prakriti is completely under Ishvara’s power. He is the Prakriti commander. Prakriti is powerless in the absence of Ishvara’s authority. Ishvara, on the other hand, is not a micromanager.
He does not instruct Prakriti on how to carry out her duties. He does nothing more than set the rules in motion. Prakriti is a system that adheres to a set of norms. The three gunaas or modes are known as Prakriti, which is a synonym for maaya. Based on its intrinsic property, each guna will produce results.

Let’s take a look at Prakriti and the individual. Prakriti has complete influence over the individual. Due to Prakriti’s influence, he is trapped in an endless cycle of birth and death. The only way to break free from Prakriti’s grip is to make a concerted effort to achieve liberation.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next verse Shri Krishna tells Arjuna Does Ishvara get attached to the actions of creation, sustenance and dissolution?
