Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 7:

When an age ends, O Kaunteya, all beings acquire my Prakriti. When (another) age begins, I project them once more.

Explanation

Shree Krishna revealed how creation, maintenance, and annihilation are all part of the same cycle. The term kalpa-khaya denotes “the end of Brahma’s lifespan” in this context. The entire cosmic manifestation dissolves and goes into an unmanifest state when Brahma’s life of 100 years is completed, which is equal to 311 trillion 40 billion earth years.
The pañch mahābhūta merges into the pañch tanmātrās the pañch tanmātrās merge into ahankar; ahankar merges into mahān; mahān merges into prakriti, the fundamental form of material energy; and prakriti rests in the divine body of Maha Vishnu.

All of the souls in the material creation likewise go to rest in God’s body, in a state of suspended animation, at that moment. Their gross and subtle bodies recombine to form Maya, the source. The causal body, on the other hand, is still present.
;

When God recreates the world after dissolution, the material energy unwinds in the opposite direction. The souls that had been suspended in time with just causal bodies are then reintroduced into the world. They receive subtle and gross bodies in accordance with their causal bodies, and the universe’s various life forms are generated.
The nature of these life forms varies among the various realms of existence. Fire is the primary bodily element in some planetary systems, much as earth and water are the dominant bodily elements on the earth plane. As a result, the subtlety of the bodies and the functions they can perform differ.

Verse & what we can learn

Prakriti is a system that keeps track of each and every being in the universe’s karmas, or actions. Divine, through the conduit of Prakriti, begins the process of dissolution when every being’s karma is exhausted, just as we go to sleep when we have completed all of our activities for the day. Prakriti “wakes” everyone up and starts the creation process when the timing is right for the next set of actions to begin unfolding.

Only when we get caught at the level of names and forms does creation and destruction on a cosmic scale become “real.” The intelligent seeker, or jnyaani, observes names and forms come and go, but realizes that everything is ultimately Ishvara. The knowledgeable seeker’s perspective that comes from having knowledge of Ishvara distinguishes the jnyaani from everyone else. This understanding is essential.
To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next verse Shri Krishna tells Arjuna what is the relationship between Ishvara, Prakriti and us?
