Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 6:

All beings exist in me; understand this, just as the strong wind travels everywhere, rooted in space.

Explanation

Divine is the resting place of all living things. Even if they transmigrate in different bodies and accept affinities with matter, they cannot be divorced from Him. It may be difficult to comprehend how the world is supported by God. Space is where the entire cosmos resides, and space is generated by God’s energy. As a result, all entities can be considered to rest in Him.

The Supreme Lord now uses an illustration to help Arjun understand what he’s saying. The wind does not exist without the presence of the sky. It flies about continuously and furiously, but it never leaves the sky. Similarly, souls have no existence apart from God.

They go through transitory bodies in time, space, and consciousness, sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly, yet they always live inside God. Everything in the universe is subject to God’s will. It is produced, maintained, and destroyed according to His wishes. Everything can be said to rest in Him in this way as well.

Verse & what we can learn

Ishvara is compared to space since it allows everything to live inside it, such as wind. In the same way, Ishvara is home to both living and non-living creatures. Space is unaffected by what it contains since it is indivisible. Ishvara is unaffected by what he endures since he is infinite, indivisible, and penetrates all. Knowing that Ishvara is present everywhere helps us to feel less sadness, delusion, fear, and hatred. There is nothing to fear, like, or dislike if everything is Ishvara, and we also know that we are in Ishvara. That is how we become liberated.
To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next verse Shri Krishna tells Arjuna how creation and dissolution are an illusion.

Let’s learn to live with “The Gita” via Meditation Affinity…
