Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 33:

So what about kings and sages who have done good deeds? As a result, now that you have arrived in this transitory and joyless world, devote yourself to Me.

Explanation

Why should more qualified spirits have any doubts since even the most terrible sinners are assured of triumph on the road of bhakti? By practising ananya bhakti, kings and sages might be even more secure of reaching the ultimate goal (exclusive devotion). “A holy king like you should get situated in the understanding that the world is impermanent and a place of misery,” Shree Krishna says to Arjun. Engage in unwavering devotion to Me, the source of infinite eternal happiness. If not used in the pursuit of the greatest aim, the blessings of birth into a kingly and saintly family, good education, and advantageous monetary circumstances will all be wasted.

There are classifications of people in this material world, but this world is not a happy place for anyone. This life is transient and full of afflictions, uninhabitable for any rational gentleman. The Supreme Personality of Godhead declares this universe to be impermanent and full of suffering. the world is not false; it is only transient. There’s a distinction to be made between temporary and false. This world is transitory, but there is an eternal realm beyond it. This world is unhappy, while the other world is forever and happy.

No one should stay in this impermanent world, which is filled with misery. To be eternally happy, everyone should attach himself to the bosom of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. All difficulties of all kinds of men can be resolved only by devotional worship to the Supreme Lord.

Verse & what we can learn

A sinner is the worst kind of human because he is so attached to the material world that he is willing to damage others. A sinner with a lower amount of commitment to the material world, such as a businessperson, is a better type of person. Someone like a sage with the lowest level of attachment, which translates to the maximum level of detachment or vairagya, is better than that person. It makes no difference whether type of person wishes to become a devotee. Everyone is eligible.

There are two major flaws in the world we live in. It’s fleeting, and it’s bereft of delight. We are prone to pursuing worldly goals such as money, positions, fortune, fame, and titles. None of these things are permanent or provide long-term happiness. We mistakenly believe that those who have these goods are happier than we are, yet this is not the case. The nature of this universe is impermanence and misery.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life, one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

Shri Krishna encourages us to focus on a single goal. How are we going to do it? He tells Arjuna in the next shloka
