Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 10- Ver. 30:
I am Prahalaad among the demons, and I am time among the counting systems. I am the lion among animals and Vainateya among birds.
Explanation
Prahlad was the son of Hiranyakashipu, the great demon king. He did, however, turn out to be one of Lord Vishnu’s most ardent admirers. Prahlad therefore best represents God’s glory among the demons. Time is the great subduer, wearing down even the universe’s biggest and mightiest forces.
The majestic lion is the king of the jungle, and among the animals, the lion demonstrates the Lord’s strength. Garuda is Lord Vishnu’s holy vehicle and the most powerful of the birds.
Verse & what we can learn
Shri Krishna praises the power of devotion, claiming that Ishvara can be found amid devils in Prahalaad. It also sends the notion that no matter what kind of family we come from, we can change our fate. Time has an affect on everything and everyone in the universe, and there is no way to avoid it. So time is Ishvara’s most prominent expression among the counting systems.
Among the animals, Shri Krishna considers the lion to be the most noteworthy. Vainateya, also known as Garuda the eagle, is Ishvara’s best expression among the birds. So, anytime we witness someone achieving despite their flaws, whenever we see the passage of time, whenever we see animals or birds, we should remember that it is all Ishvara.
