Infinity is the basic aspect of Lord Vishnu as every glory associated with him is endless, immeasurable and unfathomable. His divinity lies in creating diversity in unity and then again establishing the basic unity. Vishnu manifests himself in endless forms.
He manifests himself in endless forms starting from a giant fish Matsya to Buddha the messenger of peace and non-violence. It is this power of manifestation in endless forms that projects Vishnu as “Anantarupah”
At its crux, Yamini’s presentation ‘Anantarupah’ will bring to life two of Lord Vishnu’s divine manifestations. As Narsimha (Half Man – Half Lion) and Rama (the son of Dasaratha).
Both pieces have been selected for their uniqueness and contrast. While one piece is an excerpt from a traditional Yakshaganam which is a part of the ancient Kuchipudi heritage. The second piece is an amalgamation of North Indian Hindustani music and South Indian Kuchipudi dance showing the seamless blend of two rich traditions of India.
The production promises to take you on a journey of solo storytelling which is the epitome of Kuchipudi.
