Kishan R and Preemal J Crowned Champions at ARC 34th National Tenpin Bowling Championships
Bengaluru, Mar 16: Kishan R of Karnataka and Preemal J of Karnataka emerged as champions in the Men’s and Women’s divisions respectively at the ARC 34th National Tenpin Bowling Championships held at Amoeba Bowling Alley. The championship concluded after several days of intense competition featuring top bowlers from across the country.

Former national champion Kishan R secured his second national title in the Men’s Division with a composed performance in the championship match. Playing against Akaash Ashok Kumar, Kishan took an early lead in the first game, scoring 208 against 191, gaining a 17-pin advantage. He further extended his lead in the second game with a high score of 244, while Akaash recorded 238, sealing the title with an overall margin of 23 pins (452–429).
Earlier in the Men’s Division stepladder round, Akaash Ashok Kumar defeated Shanmugananda by 50 pins (358–308). He then continued his strong form in the next match, scoring 476 to overcome Dhruv Sarda who scored 374, winning by 102 pins to advance to the final.
In the Women’s Division, Preemal J delivered an impressive performance to claim her maiden national title, ending a 15-year wait for Karnataka in the women’s category. Facing top seed Sabeena Athica of Tamil Nadu in the final, Preemal took an early lead in the first game with 188 against 168, gaining a 20-pin advantage. Despite a close second game, she maintained her composure to secure victory with a final score of 332–308, winning by 24 pins.
Earlier in the women’s stepladder round, Preemal J defeated Shabeena Kasmani of Maharashtra 357–338 by 19 pins. She then edged past Anukriti Bishnoi of Haryana with a score of 422–409, winning by 13 pins to reach the final.
