You have been working for a long time, yet you feel stressed out and as though something crucial was missing from life.
You might be unsure of what you wanted to pursue explicitly or how to get there.
You might actually feel miserable
However, it’s challenging to do on your own and talk to someone you can rely on.
Talk things over
The first piece of advice is to speak things out with someone. Itโs a good idea to discuss things with someone who isn’t too familiar with you. This might offer a new viewpoint. The other individual does not arrive with all of their preconceived notions about you.ย They are able to raise the obvious issues that others might be reluctant to raise. For this, a coach is fantastic.ย They provide you the time and space to work through your jumbled thoughts while guiding you with inquiries, active listening, and coaching methods.
Write Things Down
Writing things down is another excellent skill.ย Free writing the thoughts racing through your head can help you re-organize them. No matter how chaotic it feels, try putting down everything that is on your mind.
Put your notepad aside for a bit once you have recorded everything.ย Reread it later when you have time.ย Search for trends and themes.ย After you’ve done that, you might want to rewrite it in a more organized fashion.ย I think this is a fantastic exercise for improving clarity.
Create a space for thought
Have you ever observed that you have your best ideas when driving or taking a shower?ย Making some space and taking a break can be life-saving if you are feeling so overwhelmed that you are unable to tell which way is up. You can achieve this by practicing meditation, taking a walk in nature, or engaging in a hobby. You may not have considered it, but scheduling a coaching session is another way to make space.
Take Away Distractions
This might be a difficult one in our always-connected society!ย What were you working on once more? Another strategy for getting immediate clarity is to turn off your phone’s alerts, put it in airplane mode, and go somewhere where you won’t be interrupted.
Eliminate Clutter
Setting a timer for 15 minutes each day and starting to tidy one thing is something that works great here.ย DE cluttering offers several advantages for your mental health, whether it’s a kitchen cabinet, a portion of your closet, those overflowing books, or some files on your hard drive.ย Your next move will become clearer once you’ve calmed down.
Do not multitask
Even while you would assume multitasking increases productivity, research has proven that it really decreases it.ย Additionally, it interferes with brain function, and an interfered brain is a confused brain! For a clearer sense of direction, quit multitasking and concentrate on one item at a time.
Determine What Matters
It’s understandable that your head feels like it’s full of tangled knitting when you’re trying to focus on a million different things at once and are unsure of your priorities.
Asking yourself the following questions will help you identify your priorities with lightning-fast speed:
- What needs LESS focus at this time?
- And what requires even more focus?
- What are some things you’d prefer to spend LESS time on?
- What is currently most important to you?
- What would you choose to do if you had no restrictions?
When you have the answers to the preceding questions, determine your top 3 priorities and list them because you can’t do everything at once.
