Avaada salutes the spirit of Beed runner-mom Ramabai Ranveer

Mumbai, Sep 10:The nation applauded when Ramabai Ranveer, a 47-year-old widow from Ambajogai in Beed district, ran barefoot in a Marathon to win the prize money to fund her daughter’s education fees. This act of courage inspired millions and made Ramabai a known name across the country. Ramabai’s story is a testament not only to a mother’s grit but, more importantly, to the belief in educating children, despite the personal toll.

Saluting her exemplary struggle, Avaada Foundation, the social arm of Avaada Group, today honoured Ramabai Ranveer with the ‘Avaada Naari Shakti Samman’ on a college campus in Nanded. The award comprised a small memento and a cheque for Fifty Thousand rupees.

As a small gesture, Avaada Foundation also announced that it will henceforth sponsor educational expenses and provide any needed academic support for Ramabai’s daughter. Ramabai’s elder daughter, Aarti, is pursuing a B.Sc. in Nanded. 

Speaking at the event, the representative of Avaada Foundation said,
