Amity University hosts District Interact Leadership Assembly (DILA) - 2026

The District Interact Leadership Assembly (DILA2026 was held at Amity University Noida campus, bringing together nearly 1,000 young Interactors from 69 schools across Rotary District 3012, including schools from Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon and Sonepat. The event provided a vibrant platform for young leaders to come together, learn about Rotary and Interact, develop leadership skills and understand the importance of “Service Above Self”.

The programme was held under the leadership of DILA Chair Rtn Ajay Chauhan, Board Member, Amity University, who provided wholehearted support for the successful organisation of the event, by providing the venue and institutional support for bringing together such a large gathering of young leaders. In addition, DG Rtn Amit Gupta and Rtn Dr Swati Gupta and DILA Event Partner Rtn Swati Agarwal of Rotary Club of Ghaziabad Ideal, also played a significant role in the successful execution of the event.

A key highlight of the programme was an insightful and engaging session by renowned Cybersecurity Expert Rakshit Tandon, who addressed the young participants on the importance of cyber safety, responsible digital behaviour and cybersecurity awareness. The session was particularly relevant for today’s generation, who are increasingly connected through digital platforms.

Addressing the gathering, District Governor Rtn Amit Gupta said that DILA is an important opportunity for children from across the district to come together, learn more about Rotary and its concepts, and take these values forward by applying them throughout the year. also contributed significantly towards the successful execution of event.

Speaking on the occasionDistrict Interact Chair Rtn Dr Mohita Sharma said that DILA marked the beginning of an exciting year of learning, leadership and service for the Interactors. She highlighted that several new projects and initiatives would be undertaken during the year to teach the four foundational principles of Interact and strengthen the spirit of “Service Above Self” among young participants. Under one of the initiatives, they will work on early detection, awareness and prevention of eye problems in children and train 200 Interactors as “Vision Ambassadors”, under this initiative. District Interact Project Chair Rtn Rachna Singh was also present and will be closely involved in driving the district‘s Interact initiatives and projects during the year.

DILA 2026 emerged as a powerful platform for youth leadership, fellowship, learning and service. The assembly reinforced the vision of creating a generation of young leaders who not only understand the values of Rotary and Interact but also translate them into meaningful action in their schools and communities. DILA 2026 thus set the stage for a year of purposeful leadership, innovative projects and community service by the young Interactors of Rotary District 3012.
