To Be One With The Divine Is The Goal of Human Evolution
आरुरुक्षोर्मुनेर्योगं कर्म कारणमुच्यते |
योगारूढस्य तस्यैव शम: कारणमुच्यते || 6.3||
ārurukṣhor muner yogaṁ karma kāraṇam uchyate
yogārūḍhasya tasyaiva śhamaḥ kāraṇam uchyate|| 6.3||
Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 6- Ver. 3:
Work without attachment is considered to be the means for the soul seeking to perfection in Yoga; tranquillity in meditation is believed to be the means for the sage who is already elevated in Yoga.
Explanation
The practise of karma yoga results in the purification of the mind and the maturation of spiritual wisdom. However, if the mind has been cleansed and we have progressed in Yoga, we can leave karma yoga and enter karma sanyasa. Material pursuits no longer serve a purpose, and meditation is now the means. As a result, the road we must take comes down to a question of our eligibility.
In this verse, Shree Krishna reveals the eligibility conditions. He claims that the road of karma yoga is better for those who want to learn Yoga, and that the path of karma sanyasa is better for those who have advanced in Yoga. Yoga is a term that refers to both the aim and the process of achieving it. When we refer to it as the objective, we use the term Yoga, which means “union with God.” When we refer to it as a process, we refer to Yoga as the “path” to union with God.
Yoga is like a staircase that leads to God. The soul is caught in worldliness at the lowest rung, with consciousness absorbed in mundane matter. Yoga’s ladder leads the soul from that point to the point where consciousness is submerged in the divine. The several rungs of the ladder have different names, but Yoga is a phrase that applies to all of them.
Verse & what we can learn
If a yogi has wants for the world, he or she must take action for a greater good. Existing desires are therefore depleted. Because the focus is on the higher, the action does not result in higher desire. This is what Karma Yoga is all about. To reach Realisation, an advanced spiritual seeker with few desires must think, contemplate, be engaged in the concept of Atman, and meditate.
To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.
