Celebrating Mumbai’s Teachers: Eight Educators Recognised by Rangeet for Dedicated Efforts to Enrich Learning
Mumbai, 30th September 2026: Eight educators from schools across Mumbai have been recognised by Rangeet as its Teachers of the Month for August for their engagement with the Social Emotional & Ecological Knowledge (SEEK)© curriculum and participation in the SEEKer Community.
The eight educators are:

● Ankita Singh – Pupils Academy
● Isha Solanki – Pupils Academy
● Deepak Mahadev Gavde – Subhedar Ambedkar Vidyalaya
● Sunita Vishwakarma – Bharat Mata Hindi School
● Deepa Hati – Kurar Village Parekh Nagar No. 3
● Anjali Chandrakant Zore – Motilal Nagar BMC Marathi 1
● Shilpa Madhav Gaikwad – Kurar Village BMC Marathi 3
Across their classrooms, these teachers are finding that SEEK activities can create opportunities for teachers to learn alongside their students.
For Deepak Mahadev Gavde of Subhedar Ambedkar Vidyalaya, who has previously also been a Teacher of the Month in March, a SEEK activity on trees led to a discovery of his own. He learned that trees communicate with each other: something he had not known before. He shared, “While using this app, not only the students but I, as a teacher, also got to learn many new things.”
For Deepa Hati of Kurar Village Parekh Nagar No. 3, learning about the social life of trees changed the way she looked at something as familiar as the trees around her. The experience made observation and questioning part of her own learning, alongside that of her students.
The same spirit of learning comes through in the experiences of the other educators.
Kavita Gupta, MPS Ashish Talao CBSE, Chembur, describes her students as “little explorers”, using stories, games and activities to encourage learning by doing. Ankita Singh, Pupils Academy, found that SEEK activities often created new learning for teachers as well as students, while Isha Solanki, also from Pupils Academy, saw students becoming more willing to ask questions, think critically and work towards solutions.
For Sunita Vishwakarma, Bharat Mata Hindi School, the simplicity of SEEK activities makes concepts more enjoyable. Anjali Chandrakant Zore, Motilal Nagar BMC Marathi 1, sees every activity as an opportunity to learn something new, while Shilpa Madhav Gaikwad, Kurar Village BMC Marathi 3, finds stories particularly useful when introducing difficult concepts.

The Rangeet SEEKer Community extends this learning beyond the classroom, giving teachers a space to exchange experiences, ideas and encouragement.
