Around 400 PhD Scholars enrol for Research Programmes at Amity University

The Registration-cum-Orientation Programme for the newly admitted Ph.D. scholars of the July 2026 batch was conducted on 21st and 22nd August 2026 at Amity University campuses in Noida, Lucknow and Greater Noida. The two-day programme marked the formal commencement of the academic and research journey of more than 400 Ph.D. scholars joining Amity University.
The programme commenced with the sacred Havan, followed by a series of motivational and research-oriented sessions delivered by senior officials, academicians and scientists of the University. The sessions were aimed at familiarising the newly admitted scholars with the University’s academic and research ecosystem, while encouraging them to pursue their doctoral research with dedication and a strong sense of purpose.
Motivating the Research Scholars, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor Amity University, advised them to approach their doctoral journey with commitment, curiosity, perseverance and a clear sense of purpose. His thought-provoking address encouraged the scholars to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge through impactful and innovative research.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K.M. Soni, Dean PhD. Programmes, AUUP, said that the two-day orientation programme provided the newly admitted scholars with an insightful introduction to the academic and research environment at Amity University and served as an important first step towards their doctoral journey.
The Registration-cum-Orientation Programme was coordinated by the Amity Institute of Information Technology under the guidance of Dr. Rekha Agarwal, Director, Amity Institute of Information Technology.
