Commenting on the admissions approach, Prof. Prakash Gopalan, President, NIIT University, said, “With the early admission window closing soon, this is the right time for students to take the first step. Our admissions process goes beyond a single examination, focusing on a student’s overall potential, curiosity, and readiness to learn. We place equal emphasis on motivation, aptitude, and alignment with our interdisciplinary learning environment. Faculty-led interactions further help students understand their strengths and aspirations, enabling more informed academic choices. Through merit-based scholarships, we aim to support talented learners from diverse backgrounds as they begin a transformative journey of growth, discovery, and impact.”

With the thrust on making students job-ready, NU has made hands-on in the industry a critical part of the coursework for all the programmes in the form of industry-originated classroom projects, summer internships and the flagship six-month course – the Industry Practice. NU’s BTech programmes, in fact, give 35% weightage to practical learning opportunities. NU’s Centre for Industrial Collaboration (CIC) invites leading companies to participate in the University’s summer internship and Industry Practice programmes and ensures that the students find the right fit to their chosen career path.
