Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 7- Ver. 15:

Those who are uninformed of wisdom, those who lazily follow their lower nature while being capable of understanding Me, those with confused intelligence, and those with a demoniac nature do not surrender to Me.

Explanation

Shree Krishna declares in this verse that there are four types of people who refuse to surrender to Him:
The Ignorant is number one. People who are spiritually ignorant and have no idea that the soul is everlasting and that its ultimate objective is to realise God. They have never heard of these ideas or been taught about the process of surrendering to God.

The lazy. These are the people who, although having the information and awareness of what they need to do, refuse to take any action to surrender owing to their lethargic character. For someone on the spiritual path, laziness can be a major stumbling block.

Intellects that are deluded. People who are so arrogant about their intellects that they don’t believe in the Scripture or the saints’ teachings. They are unable to practise surrender or comprehend the notions of God-realization because they lack confidence.

Nature of the Demon These are the people who are aware of God and His plan for the world but continue to oppose Him. It’s due to their evil nature; they despise God and His splendours. They are not devout themselves and strive to destroy others who are on the spiritual road. Surrender to God is not something they are supposed to do.

Verse & what we can learn

Ishvara is disguised by Maaya, leading people to believe that they do not have to associate with him. These people, according to Shri Krishna, are not just deluded or stupid, but also miserable, evil doers, and the lowest of human beings. There are others who believe maaya is delusory.

They spend their life chasing after worldly goods and belongings because it gives them pleasure. They do it, though, without inflicting any harm to anyone. Then there are those who are even more delusional, willing to break the law in order to obtain material goods. Finally, there are those who will resort to taking another’s life in order to achieve their monetary goals.

Their nature is described by Shri Krishna as “aasuri,” or demonic. It should not be our desire to fall into this category.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.
