Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 15- Ver. 16:

In creation, there are two types of beings: kṣhar (perishable) and akṣhar (imperishable). All beings in the material domain are perishable. The liberated beings are immortal.

Explanation

According to Shree Krishna, there are two types of beings: perishable and imperishable. In the material domain, all beings expire, but those who have been liberated are immortal.

Although all souls are eternal, Maya bonds the individual soul to a physical body in the material domain. All embodied living creatures in the tangible world are perishable, from the tiniest insect to the highest gods . They must go through the cycle of birth and death of their physical bodies over and over again.

The imperishable souls, on the other hand, have an everlasting body that is not subject to the cycle of birth and death. They will live in the divine world, the Abode of God, for all eternity.

Verse & what we can learn

Everything in the world falls into one of two categories. The visible, tangible world, which includes all living and inanimate beings, is the first category. The invisible entity known as Maya falls into the second group. Maya has the ability to generate infinitely complex universes again and over again. Because the universe has a beginning and an end, the first category is called perishable. Because it outlasts the perishable, the second group is known as imperishable.

Our physical body is the “I” the kshara, the perishable. The jeeva, is the akshara, the imperishable. The visible cosmos is the kshara from the viewpoint of the world, the viewpoint of “that.” Maya, the seed of infinite universes, present, past, and future, is the subject of the akshara.
