Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 15- Ver. 13:

My vitality pervades the world, nourishing all living beings. As the moon, I provide life-giving nectar to all plants.

Explanation

Shree Krishna says in this verse that it is His energy that has created the ideal physical conditions for existence on planet Earth. Earth is represented by gam, while energy is represented by ojasa. The earth, like all other celestial bodies, is a massive matter mass. God, on the other hand, has made it habitable, allowing it to support life.

Shree Krishna further claims that He is the source of the moonlight’s nourishing properties. The ambrosial nectar of the moonlight nourishes all plant life, including fruits, vegetables, cereals, herbs, and so on.

Verse & what we can learn

Shri Krishna claims that Ishvara inhabits the earth and supports all beings and atoms inside it with his force. There is a force that holds the earth together as one thing, just as there is a force that holds our bodies together. So, while we marvel at the magnificence and majesty of the world’s natural beauties, remember that the same power holds our bodies together as one cohesive entity.

To travel from its source to its destination, energy requires a medium. Ishvara resides in the form of honey, the sap, the essence of all flora, in order to bring food to all living beings. In any ecosystem, a healthy plant life assures the survival of the animals, birds, and humans who rely on it.

The nutrional worth of every plant life is enhanced by the moon’s light. This sap, this substance found within plants that provides vitality to all living things, also provides energy to ourselves. Furthermore, many plants offer therapeutic as well as nutritional value, providing an added bit of advantages to both animals and people.

Ishvara is pulsing through us in the same way he is pulsing through the world, whether it is energy, nutrition, or healing. Now we must collect this energy from its source and absorb it into our bodies.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next shloka Shri Krishna talks about the fire of digestion.
