Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 12- Ver. 16:

He who is such a devotee of mine, who is without expectation, pure, dextrous, fearless, courageous, renouncing all new initiatives, he is dear to me.

Explanation

Devotees are overflowing with divine love for God, which they regard as the greatest asset worth owning. They also give the Lord’s loving service the utmost priority. As a result, they become careless about material gain.
Devotees become internally cleansed from flaws such as desire, anger, greed, envy, ego, and so on because their minds are continually engaged in the all-pure Lord. They naturally prefer to keep the external body and environment pure in this frame of mind. As a result, they are also externally pure.

Devotees see all of their responsibilities as chances to serve God. As a result, they take tremendous care and attention in their work. As a result, they are inherently skilled. They become carefree because they have trust that God will always safeguard them in accordance with their surrender.

Because devotees have resigned to God’s will, they simply put up their best effort in all activities while leaving the results in God’s hands. As a result, regardless of the outcome, they remain unaffected, surrendering their will to the divine will. They rise above petty selfishness because of their attitude of service.

Verse & what we can learn

A perfected karma yogi is likewise a perfected devotee. He has mastered the technique of executing any action, large or small, in accordance with Shri Krishna’s karma yoga teachings, resulting in action perfection. The perfected karma yogi is first and foremost pure.

His mind has been cleansed of selfish wants, leaving only behaviours related to his responsibilities or svadharma. If the activity isn’t part of his svadharma, he avoids taking on new projects that aren’t necessary. He also offers Ishvara the fruits of his actions.

This allows him to let go of expectations about the outcome, as well as worry over the past. He is unconcerned and detached, not because he is unconcerned about the deed, but because he does not become attached to the action’s outcome.
