Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 4- Ver. 42:

As a result, cut the doubts that have arisen in your heart with the sword of knowledge. Establish yourself in karma yoga, O scion of Bharat. Get up, stand up, and take action.

Explanation

According to the Vedas, the physical brain is located in the head, but the subtle mind is located in the heart. Compassion, love, sympathy, and many other positive feelings come from the heart. When Shree Krishna speaks of doubts that have emerged in the intellect, he is referring to doubts that have arisen in the heart.

The Lord, in his capacity as Arjun’s Spiritual Master, has taught his disciple how to attain insightful wisdom through the practise of karma yoga. He now tells Arjuna to use both intelligence and faith to clear his mind of his doubts. Then, he gives the call of action and asks Arjun to rise up and do his duty in the spirit of karm yog.

Krishna speaks to Arjuna, the warrior. To combat your ignorance and negativity, you’ll need the bravery, courage, strength, and fearlessness of a soldier. Take a look inside. Shift the focus of your inquiry. Happiness is not something that can be bestowed by the world. It’s all a fake-out there. You can only find true happiness within yourself.

Concentrate on becoming one with your own Self. Karma, Bhakti, and Jnana yogas should all be practised. Begin to meditate as your desires fade and your mind becomes still. You’re now fascinated with worldly possessions. Ascend to the bliss of the Spirit from lower levels of the body, mind, and intellect.
