Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 3- Ver. 40:

It is supposed to live in the senses, mind, and intellect. Through them, it clouds one’s knowledge and deludes the embodied soul.

Explanation

Shree Krishna has now revealed the regions where desire can be found, implying that there is a way to manage it. According to Shree Krishna, desire exercises its domination over the soul through the senses, mind, and intellect.
The senses crave the sense objects, the senses infatuate the mind, the mind misleads the intellect, and the intellect loses its discriminate powers under the influence of lust. When the brain is obscured, the living being is fooled into being a slave to passion, willing to do anything to satisfy it.

The senses, mind, and intellect—they were given to us for the purpose of gaining God-realization, but we have allowed lust in its many forms to march upon them, so we must uplift ourselves using the same senses, mind, and intellect.
