Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 7- Ver. 3:

Among thousands of people, only a few strive for perfection, and even among those who have achieved perfection, only a few truly know Me.

Explanation

Only a small percentage of the innumerable souls are fortunate enough to be born as humans, he says. Only a small percentage of them strive for spiritual perfection. Even among those refined souls, those who are conscious of My almighty glory and supremacy are very scarce.

It is impossible to realise the Supreme without bhakti, or loving devotion. Spiritual aspirants who practise karma, jnana, hatha yoga, and other forms of spirituality cannot know God unless they also practise devotion.

Spiritual aspirants who do not integrate devotion into their sadhana achieve just a limited amount of theoretical knowledge . They are unable to know God or the Absolute Truth because they lack experienced knowledge. In this verse, Shree Krishna states that only one human among many knows Him in truth. Krishna says that he must be known in his true nature. Most of the people listed previously revere Ishvara, although they only have a basic concept of who he really is.

Verse & what we can learn

Only when one is wholeheartedly committed to attain the divine out of total love and surrenderance can he attain him. This is what Shri Krishna means in this shloka when he says only one person, out of many, strives for liberation.

Only one of those few aspirants truly understand the divine .

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.
In the Next verse, Shri Krishna tells Arjuna the material and spiritual dimensions of His energies.
