Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 7- Ver. 25:
Because I am covered by My holy Yogmaya energy, I am not visible to everyone. As a result, individuals who lack awareness are unaware that I am without birth and changeless.
Explanation
In verses 7.4 and 7.5 of this chapter, Shree Krishna mentioned two of His holy energies. The soul energy, and the eight-fold prakiti, or material energy. Now He speaks about the Yogmaya, His third and most potent energy.
God, by His Yogamaya energy, descends into this world and shows His divine pastimes, divine home, divine happiness, and love on the Earth plane. The same Yogamaya force, however, keeps His divinity hidden from us. We are unable to sense His presence, despite the fact that He is there in our hearts.
Even today, if we are lucky enough to see the Lord in His human form, we will be unable to recognise Him. The Yogamaya conceals God’s divine form from us until we are eligible for His divine vision. The Yogamaya bestows upon us the heavenly vision that permits us to perceive and see God only by God’s grace.
His Yogamaya energy, like God’s, is both formless and manifests in personal forms. Yogamaya–conceals God from unqualified souls and bestows Her infinite favour upon surrendered souls, because they are capable of knowing Him. Those who are influenced by Maya or material energy, on the other hand, turn their backs on God. They continue to live in ignorance, entangled in Maya, because they lack the divine grace of His Yogamaya force. Others who have gone to God have found refuge in Yogamaya and have been freed from Maya.
Verse & what we can learn
The primary difficulty that most people had in comprehending the essence of Ishvara. People are forced to believe of Ishvara as a visible, finite entity due to a mental restriction it is the power of maaya that keeps Ishvara hidden from us.
Our brain has been conditioned to recognise two things: place and time. Only objects in space may be seen, heard, touched, smelled, and tasted. We can also detect changes in such items, which is only a matter of time. As a result, humans are unable to sense anything outside the confines of space and time. Space and time, or the three gunaas of prakriti known as sattva, rajas, and tamas, can be described as maaya.
Shri Krishna claims that Ishvara has disguised himself in a maaya-like garment. Only maaya can be perceived by our senses. As a result, we are unable to fathom Ishvara, who is beyond maaya, just as the sun’s brilliance prevents us from seeing the sun. Those who believe that only the visible is real and that everything else is unreal are referred to as foolish. They are blind to Ishvara’s true nature, which is beyond birth and death.
To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.
There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.
In the Next verse, Shri Krishna tells Arjuna But if we cannot pierce through maaya, can Ishvara do so?
