Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 32:
Surely, O Paartha, even people of wicked birth — women, tradesmen, and labourers – achieve the highest condition by seeking refuge in me.
Explanation
Shree Krishna declares that whosoever takes entire refuge of Him, regardless of birth, gender, caste, or race, shall achieve the greatest goal. Because of the magnificence of the route of devotion, anyone can follow it, although other paths have severe eligibility requirements.
God is unconcerned about the time or place where we practise devotion, according to this passage. Only the love in our hearts is visible to him. God considers all souls to be His children, and He welcomes them all with open arms if they come to Him with real love.
Verse & what we can learn
In this shloka, the trait of being too connected to children and family is referred to as “women.” Similarly, a “trader” is overly attached to money and commerce, while a “labourer” is overly attached to the fruits of his labour. Unlike other types of spiritual practise, bhakti or devotion does not necessitate a great level of detachment. As a result, Shri Krishna extols the virtues of devotion, claiming that someone with such strong ties to worldly things can find emancipation through devotion.
To acquire knowledge and implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.
There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.
How do those with a high level of detachment suffer when even those with material attachments might achieve liberation through devotion? Shri Krishna tells Arjuna in the next shloka
