Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 9- Ver. 22:

There are others who are continuously thinking about Me and devote their entire lives to Me. I provide what they lack and protect what they already have for those whose minds are always absorbed in Me.

Explanation

God is the soul’s supreme and eternal mother. God gives souls that surrender solely to Him motherly assurance in this verse. God offers two things “I personally carry the burden of maintaining My devotees” God promises two things He bestows His devotees the spiritual assets they do not possess. Divine protects the spiritual virtues that His devotees already possess.

However, He has set an exclusive surrender condition on this. God does not grant His favour when we act on our own free will, believing that we are the doers of our own deeds and relying on our own skill and ability. He simply takes note of our karmas and calculates the outcome. God partially bestows His grace on us when we commit partially to Him and partially rely on material crutches. God bestows His complete grace and takes full responsibility by protecting what we have and giving what we lack when we offer ourselves exclusively to Him.

Verse & what we can learn

For someone who is completely absorbed in Ishvara’s thought. There is no fear, anguish, grief, or lack of anything. Shri Krishna promises that Ishvara will personally look after his devotees’ needs.

The person who just wants one thing liberation. His yearning for moksha is greater than any other desire, because it will forever erase all others. It’s a thirst for endlessness.

Acquisition and preservation are two fundamental actions that we engage in throughout our lives. Our early years are spent acquiring knowledge, riches, family, position, and title. The latter half of our lives is devoted to preserving what we’ve accumulated.

We do not need to spend any time continually worrying about our necessities if we devote ourselves entirely to the pursuit of Ishvara. We will be well taken care of as long as we accomplish our responsibilities efficiently and in a spirit of service to Ishvara. Ishvara will not only carry our wants, but he will also bear all of our anxieties. Because everything is Ishvara and everything is in Ishvara, he will take care of his own needs.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There are also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next verse Shri Krishna tells Arjuna what happens to those who do not worship Ishvara in his infinite nature
