Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 13- Ver. 2:

Those who have taken refuge in this knowledge and reached identity with me are neither born nor tormented throughout creation or disintegration.

Explanation

Shree Krishna tells Arjuna that individuals who gain the information he is about to impart would no longer be forced to endure repeated confinement in a mother’s womb. They will also not be forced to remain in a state of suspended animation in God’s womb during the universal dissolution or to be reincarnated with the next creation. The three gunas are the root of bondage, and understanding them will illuminate the way out.

Shree Krishna frequently employs the approach of announcing the outcomes of what he is about to teach in order to hold his student’s attention. They will not suffer; They shall acquire a similar divine character to God himself. When the soul is free of material energy’s shackles, it comes under the control of God’s almighty Yogmaya energy. It is imbued with God’s divine knowledge, love, and happiness as a result of the divine force. As a result, the soul obtains divine godlike properties and becomes of God’s nature.

Verse & what we can learn

Every day, every minute of our lives, we experience birth and death. Prakriti’s functioning includes both birth and death. Shri Krishna encourages us to identify with Ishvara so that we are not upset or irritated by any birth or death, including our own. We will perceive things from Ishvara’s perspective and stop associating with the ups and downs our bodies experience if we have eradicated our ignorance via knowledge and discovered our true nature as identical to that of Ishvara.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

In the next shloka Shri Krishna talks about Prakriti and living souls.
