Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 11- Ver. 13:
The Paandava then observed the entire cosmos divided into innumerable divisions in the body of that ruler of lords.
Explanation
Sanjay claims that the cosmic form embraced the entire cosmos. Surprisingly, Arjuna witnessed the entirety of existence in the vicinity of Shree Krishna’s body. In a fraction of the Supreme Lord’s body, he saw the entire creation of limitless universes, with their manifold divisions of galaxies and planetary systems.
Arjuna had previously been stunned by Ishvara’s cosmic form’s grandeur. He didn’t know where to look because there was so much going on, so many different shapes and forms. It took him a while to adjust to the radiance generated by that shape. He saw the entire universe now that his vision had improved, with the earth, sky, oceans, animals, plants, trees, and humans all occupying one tiny corner of that huge cosmic form.
Verse & what we can learn
Arjuna literally saw “the big view” in this shloka. He was now confronted with “ananta koti brahmanda naayaka,” the creator of an unlimited number of universes. Arjuna recognized that the cosmos is only a little part of Ishvara’s creation when he glimpsed Ishvara’s cosmic form. It is like as if the small wave sensed the enormity of the ocean.
