Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 10- Ver. 16:

Please describe Your divine opulences, through which You pervade and reside in all the universes. How may I know and think about You, Supreme Master of Yoga? And, O Supreme Divine Personality, in what shapes might I imagine You while meditating?

Explanation

Yoga Maya is referred to as Yoga, and yogi is referred to as the Master of Yoga Maya. Shree Krishna is Bhagavan, Arjun has realized. He now wants to know how Shree Krishna’s vibhuti is manifested throughout creation in ways that have yet to be revealed. He is interested in learning about Shree Krishna’s majesty and supremacy as the Supreme Controller of all creation.

“I am inquisitive to know your holy manifestations so that I may be blessed with unfailing devotion,” he implores. However, without your grace, it is difficult to receive the revelation of your individuality. So, please, be gracious and expose your numerous splendours so that I may see you.”

Verse & what we can learn

Arjuna, anxious to understand Ishvara’s actual nature, now realizes that Ishvara is not some third person who stands outside the cosmos and generates and sustains everything. To that purpose, he says that Ishvara has established himself by saturating the entire cosmos with his manifestations and expressions. It’s as if the Internet has established itself in our lives by infiltrating every aspect of our lives.

With this awareness, Arjuna approaches Shri Krishna and asks him to explain Ishvara’s expressions in detail. Only Ishvara in the shape of Shri Krishna is capable of revealing his actual self to Arjuna since he is the origin, the first cause. Only Ishvara has the ability to exhibit his divine grandeur and beauty.

To acquire knowledge and to implement that knowledge in life one needs to be mentally and physically active and healthy and for that daily meditation is a great tool.

There are various types of meditation like Buddhist meditation, heartfulness meditation, mindfulness meditation, meditation for stress, and each meditation benefits are countless. There is also numerous meditation techniques for beginners which help in practicing daily meditation so go ahead and start your journey towards a peaceful and balanced life.

After praising Ishvara, Arjuna now asks his question in the next shloka.
