Shloka Translation
BG – Ch. 3- Ver. 8:

As a result, you should carry out your Vedic responsibilities, as action is preferable to idleness. Even bodily maintenance will be impossible if you stop doing things.

Explanation

Humans are given responsibilities in the Vedas to help them discipline their minds and senses. Niyatam compulsory activity, kamya desire-driven action, and nisiddha banned action are the three categories of action.
We are all aware of our responsibilities to our families, societies, countries, the environment, and ourselves. Desire is what gets in the way of obligation. When desire reaches unsustainable proportions, you cross the line and commit acts that are against your conscience.

Niyatam compulsory action is divided into two categories: nitya karma, which includes normal, routine obligations, and naimittika karma, which includes special, one-time tasks that arise in unusual circumstances.
As a result, you should carry out your Vedic responsibilities, as action is preferable to idleness. Even your body maintenance will be affected if you stop doing things.
